09

So another year has gone, and I’m another year older.

Countdown was fun. Pre-countdown dinner with family (a very rare thing given all our conflicting schedules), countdown and early morning movie with JE.

Can’t think of a better way to usher in 09.

Need to remember to write 09 instead of 08 for the dates in NS.

6 more weeks to go!

At Last..

.. BMT is over.

Graduation Parade on the 10th of December (immediately after our 24km Route March mind you) was definately a good closure of the 9 weeks spent in Tekong. I’ve made quite a few new close friends, mixed with people I never would have otherwise gotten a chance to mix with, and experienced how life can be when under the iron fist of the military.

With new military knowledge implanted in my brain and a fitness level close to what it was in my peak back then in VS, I’m ready for what comes next.

Posting results out on the 19th, I’m hopeful the e-Posting Order will spell out OCS, but time will tell if I made it there. Although on a side note it somewhat still amazes me why I’m hoping to get there in the first place given how little time (for myself/family/jia en) i’ll have left if I get posted to OCS.

Back from a 4D3N trip to Malaysia (Gopeng & KL). Had loads of fun. White water rafting, Waterfall absailing, shopping, Sunway Lagoon and finally a visit to Times Square before heading back on the Ipoh - Singapore KTM train.

If only I had more periods of block leave. Heh.

and so it has begun

the NS journey..

Goodbye world. See you in 2 weeks.

Funny

Its funny how I used to so happily count down to the 9th. Then fate had to give me an enlistment date that falls on the 9th.

That same fate, mind you, now threatens to put me in Cougar Coy, which, according to the grapewine, is a rather xiong coy to be in. To be honest, I’m not exactly looking forward to be in a xiong coy, but if fate should so decide to deal me that hand, so be it. Many thanks to JE for being there to support and console me. I really couldn’t ask for more. =)

If you can’t change your fate, change your attitude.

And in case i don’t get to blog again, Happy 16th! =D

SAF

Just went on a YouTube run of SAF / BMT videos. I’ll be honest, its the 3rd time I’ve done so since I stopped working at Accenture (and prob not the last before I enlist). Its funny but those videos give the that ‘feel good’ feeling of BMT and possibly NS in general.

BMTC School 1 : 9th October 2008. Bring it on.
