The Hello World Collection
Cool stuff.
4 more days to The Bucket List reveal. =)
Raid
Found this off the net. Thought it was cool (read: geeky) enough to share.
Qn: Whats the difference between Raid_0 and Raid_1?
Ans: In Raid_0 the zero stands for how many files you are going to get back if something goes wrong.
In other news, I’ve made my *ahem*obiang*ahem* spects for NS. But someone *ahem*JE*ahem* says that they look nice. I still prefer my Oakley (which the frame recently broke and was just repaired for $80).
Fun @ NLB
Went to the National Library a couple of days back. Was using the OPAC when I managed to get access to Internet Explorer.
WHEEEEEEEE! Had fun playing around a little then quietly made my exit.
Yes, I tend to geek out once in a while.
Hotmail Down
Sure, shit happens. Servers go down all the time, networks get congested and the whole lock, stock and barrel.
But can’t it happen on a day when I’m not so kan chong to open my mail and check my results? Sheez!
Aparently Hotmail’s been up and down quite a bit recently, should have set the email that SP should send me the results to my Gmail instead. Lesson learnt, but then again I’ve got no more result emails from SP, this one being my last. heh.
*update*
Finally! A window opens and I’m able to check my Hotmail (and thus my results)! A for ITP, so I’m officially going to receive my Diploma in May with a GPA of 3.986 ( damn la, was hoping for ITP to bring it up to 3.988 or 3.990 at the very least. Basket. =( )
Phish - youareblocked.com
If you get an email similar to the following :
You’re Blocked!
A contact has recommended you to enter in www.youareblocked.com.
The site allows you to find out who has blocked or deleted you from the MSN MessengerThis e-mail comes to your inbox, since you have been recommended by one of your contacts
with the subject of “Somebody has blocked you at MSN Messenger”, please DO NOT give your password to that site. Seems like a phishing attempt to steal MSN passwords. It don’t really affect me if you want to lose access to your MSN account, but if you have my Hotmail address saved in your contact list, for goodness sake please don’t even think about giving those sites your password, since they’ll prob just extract your contact list (my email included) and sell that data to spammers.
