OPSY. C Div. SLI

By some (cruel) twist of fate, I actually found OPSY (the exam that is) managable, leaning towards the fun side (gasp, I think I just mentioned OPSY and fun in the same sentence). But it was ok. Beside the last MCQ question where two options were more or less the same, thus confusing the hell out of me, and the renaming of the terms that we learnt in an attempt to trick us, it was (as mentioned) manageable.

Remind me again why the heck I spent the whole of Saturday and Sunday mugging for it. But now that its over, I’m quite relieved. NETF next.

Actually, given the amount of things I have to (or rather want to) do this coming holidays, I’m a whole lot more relaxed now then I anticipate I will be come 2nd March. Too bad I only have a mere 3 days left.

In other news, the C Div Badminton Team has emerged, once again, as the Champions of the East Zone. The supporters were not as strong (in terms of numbers) as they were before but the fighting spirit of the players, especially so for the 2nd Doubles, was truely admirable. So kudos to the team.

After that, met up with the PB Alumni from 04 and o5 inclusive of the VIPers and went for SLI. cher and muz joined in not long after. SLI.. It was ok. Rather given the amount of time the OC had and the ‘support’ provided by the sch admin and a few of the student leaders to be invested, I’d say it was bloody good.

Emcee’s screwed up a little and the walk in lacked the luster of last years (PB) invest but all in all I’d say it was a good show. Not to mention the spelling cheer after the Anthem. Just dissappointed that the invited guests were left to themselves thoughout the reception. I mean if you’re going to take over the PB invest, at least attach a student leader that was invested (or maybe two since manpower ain’t like our Very Small Prefectorial Board) to the invited schools.

You invite them, then leave them hanging high and dry. Not very nice.. But then again this is the first year, so hopefully the next batch will take that into consideration. It was, however, cool to know that the parents of the student leaders were invited. If only we had done that for PB invest, perhaps I wouldn’t have had to endure the countless naggings about me coming back late from school. Heh. Oh well.

Mug

I’ve been mugging for the past 2 days and I think I’ve reach the point where I can simply mug no more.

No more!

But since I still don’t feel very confident of my understanding of the damn OPSY, I shall have to mug some more.

Sigh. Its dry and I don’t see the practical use of OPSY. T’was the case for A Maths, and I got B4. Not good.

Not good at all..

Halfway through the exams. 2 papers down, another 2 to go.

VB was fine, one careless mistake in the algo to test for palindromes. Used ‘charAt()’ instead of ‘char()’. Forgot that ‘charAt()’ is the Java equilivant of VB’s ‘char()’. Sigh.

DBMS today was fine, think I may have lost 2 marks though. And I was hoping for full marks. Heh. Oh well..

OPSY (Operating Systems, VERY dry) on 27th, NETF (Network Fundementals, less dry then OPSY but dry nonetheless) on the 1st of March.

Sian..

Angst

The mood of the season: angst. No thanks to the exams.

Saw (Caught) 2 of my classesmates (as in same Semester Class, not Module Class) talking during the PCT Exam today. They were either checking out the girl next to them or exchanging answers. I wasn’t born yesterday, so I’m ruling out the former.

Sheez, and to think I actually held them in high(er) regard. Esp since the both of them were 4.0ers as well. I now hold them in low regard. A little extreme after just one incident? I think not.

The OVA Victorians’ Day Soccer Mania ain’t going as smoothly as I had hoped. Lack of support for one. Lack of time on my part too (I’ve got exams to mug for, so sue me). Then I’ve got CRS (Critical Reasoning Skills) written essay tomorrow. What Mr Hazrin (Sec 3&4 EL Teacher) taught during his English lessons are coming back to me, but I still don’t know if I can score well for it.

Thus the mood for the season: angst.
