New Blog, New Hosting Provider, Same Jonaize

Yeah, I’ve moved to WordPress along with a new hosting provider and Domain Name Registrar.

My ISP is still pointing blog.jonaize.com to the old blog so I can’t make a lot of changes to this one yet. I’ll start modifying the template and maybe import my old posts once the DNS Records fully propagate to the nameservers .

I apologise if the jonaize.com domains are a bit cranky at the moment. The trouble is that not all the DNS servers have updated their records pointing them to this new site. So (now) some parts of jonaize.com are on the new server and some are on the old one. Ah wells, all should be well in about 24 hours.

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas to all.

This Christmas eve I find myself doing a report on Domain Name Service (DNS) and the Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) thanks in no part to SP’s assignments.

Where is the spirit of Christmas I’m supposed to feel? Burried somewhere under the mountain of books I gotta mug for MST.

Were is the festive mood? Chased away by the tons of homework SP decided to give us.

Not having my Grandma to share Christmas with ain’t making it any better.

In other news, Sec 1 Registration was fun (as if main VS events are ever boring). Went for briefing on thursday, proposed to implement a queue management system for the Registration on Friday.

So ok. Went back home, coded a primitive system to track the queue numbers that would be projected onto the wall next to the stage. Come Registration day, one projector was too weak. So had to recode the app to run from just one side.

Brings back memories of having to recode the Head Prefect Election script. What is it with my code and VS? sigh.

So yeah,

E-Learning Week

This week is supposed to be E-Learning week, where we get to relax a little having our homework sent to us through the net.

And I find myself, at 3.50 in the morning, MUGGING away about how Operating Systems handle Device Management. If anyone’s wondering how ironic and screwed up life can get, I think this is the perfect epitome of it.

Basket.

On a side note, I’ve done about half of what I needed to do this week, leaving me with just another 25+ more things to do.

So much for a ‘Merry’ Christmas.

I’ve gotta get studying for my Mid Sem Tests as well. Those evil things are on the first week of Jan, which means going for Sec 1 camp is out of the question.

So much for a ‘Happy’ New Year.

Jonaize.com

I’ll be changing hosting providers sometime over the next few days. If jonaize.com becomes inaccesible, try again in a few hours. The changes in the DNS takes a while to propogate.

Meanwhile, I urge all cBoard users not to update their account details this week. Changes may not be reflected in the new site. Lets hope this host is more reliable then the current one. =)

In other news, I’ve FINALLY got my 1 STAR Kayaking certification. heh.

Six months on

Its been half a year today. Time has flown by so fast and yet has remained in limbo simultaniously.

Its been half a year which is six months which is 24 weeks which is 183 days which is 4392 hours which is 263520 minutes which is 15811200 seconds since my grandmas’ passing. But who’s counting right? =(
