Of LTC, CIC, EMD and PPC

Of LTC and CIC. (for xh and jont)

In all honesty, I dun really think it makes that much of a difference if one goes for LTC or CIC. I’ve been through both and really the only thing that differenciates them is the job of those who ‘graduate’. LTC is more for CCA leaders (though not nessarily the JLs will become CCA Leaders) while CIC is more for organising, planning and running camps (though the CLs not nessarily run all level camps).

On a personal note, I prefered CIC to LTC, mainly due to the uniqueness of the style used to run the camp and the lessons I learnt there. But I will not dismiss the skills and experiences I received in LTC, for they have helped shape who I want to be.. So will the two of you stop fighting already? hahaz..

Of EMD.

Wanted to post this quite a while back (after EMD) but for some reason I didn’t. Afraid perhaps..

Moving on, I clearly remember 1 particular play, not only because it was interesting, but also caus of the actor(ess). If you have no idea what i’m talking about, go here . If you still have no idea what i’m talking about, that fella in the pic is a Sec 2 Victorian. And no, VS is not a co-ed school (if you didn’t realise that by now you aught to go jump down from the 7th floor of VS).

I think it takes a whole lof of balls (no pun intended) to do _that_ in front of a packed (and very testerone filled) auditorium. As in seriously. Woah.

Of PPC.

Finally, I’ve succumbed to the pressures of Microsoft and bought a Dell Axim x50 PPC. Its freaking cool. Not forgetting powerful. Heck I just copied Daniel’s CF card of pictures for the Open House Site to my SD card without my laptop / cardreader.

Now thats what I call power on the go..

Record Breaker

I _think_ I currently hold the record for the most number of weekdays that a graduated Victorian has come back to VS. Went back the whole of last week, the friday of last last week, and monday tuesday wednesday of this week.

But darn today I ended that record. Sigh.

The ‘propaganda’ site I was blogging about has now evolved into a full website for VS Open House 05. Hope to get it launched by wed next week. I’m still keeping access to the site internal (save for a few ppl I know) untill the official launch.

Missing You

I’m still missing my grandma. Terribly. What I’ll give to hear her voice one more time. Tell her all the things I left unsaid…

I look back and I remember all the time she would nag at me and I would pay little heed. I remember all the times she would be talking to me but I would be too busy on my computer. Damnit.. :(

I cried myself to sleep last night.. So I found another song, with the (doubtful) hope that it will somehow, someway, magically heal the sense of loss I feel. But who am I trying to kid..

VS Promotion

Okie, regarding the VS Promotion site, I’ll be starting on it soon. Its basically going to be a site where one can download material that might be of use in the promotion of VS as THE destination school.

It would also serve to facilitate all Victorians to share and ultimately use the material found on the site.

Exams Finally Over. Stress Starts

Okie. Just had my last paper today. It was a bit easier then expected, so hope to do well in it. Targeting all As and at least 2 distinctions for this first sem.

Went to play badminton. Hell Yeah. Although I sprained the part of my left foot where my toe joins the sole, stretched my left calf and had skin peeling off the base of my thumb, I am happy to report that I can still remember how to hold a racket and hit the shuttle. :D

Extremely tired but nonetheless satisfied.

And yes, on to the stress part. I’m supposed to feel the weight of the world off my sholders since my exams are over, but no luck. If anything, the weight has increased. Caus soon it will be time for my results.

Also, now I’ve given myself a whole lot of things to do, namely study VB, master Dreamweaver (for a web design competition that forbids us to refer to HTML resources, *what utter rubbish!*), get a ‘propoganda’ site for VS up (more on that later today) and also go for as many camps (EOA) as I can get my hands on.

Worst part is I feel like sleeping / surfing the holidays away.

Pre-exams periods are more relaxed. Period.
