Encounter with the Photojournalist
Yesterday was my very first encounter with a Photojournalist. It was very cool. Somewhat weird and awkward, but still an experience nonetheless.
So yes, essentially, a SPH Photojournalist (Edwin Koo) came over to take pictures of me any my computer system(s). A freelance journalist for SPH is doing an article on student entreprenurship and was told about Jonaize. (thanks Cheng Kai =D)
I guess the main point here is that I have new found sympathy for those ppl who have to post for shots for the press. Not an easy job. haha.. Another thing is that I found Edwin to be a rather cool. Never thought of Photojournalists as such, as normaly my impression of them used to be one of non-interest.
Heh. Lets see if the article comes out.. haha..
Nets IT!
I’ve made my very first payment using my debit card. Didn’t even know my card had the NETS function. Heh, a significant milestone in my life. haha..
Mid Sem Tests
Today concludes my Mid Sem Tests (MST). Got quite an interesting start to the day. I overslept on the bus, and woke up outside Nan Hua Primary School. Knew I missed my stop, so I started on a dunno-how-many-meters race back in the direction I came from. Maths was starting in like 15 mins.
So I continuned running, ( Now if I need to pass my IPPT 2.4 run I know what to think of ) and I would have jolly well ran all the way back if not for finding myself standing (running actually) under the Clementi MRT station.
Takes me 2 mins to get from Clementi to Dover and I had about 10 mins to spare, so I stopped running like a mad dog and acted as if nothing was amiss. Hehe.. Needless to say, I reached on time. =)
Moral of the story: _Always_ plan to be at least half an hour early for your exams.. hehe..
Back to MST, I had Java Practical on Monday. Think it was quite ok. So thats that. I could actually complete the Maths paper today, goodbye bad Amaths memories!! UWOS (Unix Windows operating systems) was ok. Got 88 / 100 (Online Test, marked on the spot). Somewhat dissapointed, was hoping for at least a 90, but I’ll take what I’ve got.
Now going to relax a little then start studying again for Final Sem papers.
Its happen-IP-ng…
Ok. This post is about IP again. I only have one request for those reading this whom are considering IP; that is to not base any decision on what I’m about to say (technically type) here.
Its begining.. The Sec 2s I know are going or thinking of going for IP. Can you feel the talent slipping away from VS? I can.
I’m not too sure about how many prefects are considering IP, but badminton has a staggering 5+ at last count. Thats like almost the entire level. The best of the best, migrating down Marine Parade Road.
Its like these juniors are seriously good. If I were to play a match against them when I was in Sec 2, they’ll trash me flat hands down. Still applies for xuanhan, since he still can trash me..
Sigh, I’m worried about the team. Yes, its selfish. I know. But what the heck. Times are achanging. Change is good. I guess.
Bloody IP Program. Ok. Forget I just said that. Thanks.
Sigh.
