The meaning of life….

Where has it gone? Why did it run from me? Is it ever going to come back?

Questions. Questions. Questions. Where the heck are all the answers?

Today was rather OK for my first day of lessons. It wasn’t bad per say, but it wasn’t good either. Had Technical and Buisness Communications for the very first lesson in SP. It went pretty well. The tutor was friendly and outgoing, so yes, it was actually more fun then I expected.

Went to see the CCA show after that, most likely going for SP Adventurers and Badminton (but I begining to doupt if they have Badminton).

Had a REALLY REALLY boring Web Publishing Class after that. They were teaching HTML. WOW!! Wonders of Wonder!! Sheez. Utter waste of time. Think I’ll try to apply for Exemption from that module.

Ok, back to the mysterious ‘meaning of life’. What is the meaing of life? I found myself asking that very question quite a few times today. I just googled “The meaning of life”. Woah.

Read it. Really thought provoking. I guess i’ll accept the following from that page; “try and be nice to people, avoid eating fat, read a good book every now and then, get some walking in, and try and live together in peace and harmony with people of all creeds and nations.”

Funny thing is, I never felt this way back in VS. Life was just one big, happy and most importantly _Meaningful_ experience. Now in SP, I can only look back and wonder, what has changed? What is the (new) meaning of life?

Back from Day 1

Okie, I’m back to my safe haven from the harsh and cruel word of SP.

Ok, so it isn’t THAT bad, but then again its only the first day. Made a new friend today, and based on my social skills (or rather the lack of it) you can go and buy 4D now.

Yupp, found out that he’s actually 21, finishing NS soon. Interesting, very interesting.

Lets see what tomorrow brings, for tomorrow is the first day of the rest of my life. (sorry about the cliche, feeling very sian now).

And so (D)IT begins…

And so Poly begins, I’ve avoided having to confront it for some time now, but I can’t run from it any more.

Tomorrow, May 24th, marks the begining of Orientation for Singapore Poly. More importantly, it marks the first day I get to meet the people I’ll be spending the next 3 years of my life with. To say that its daunting would be an understatement.

It kind of reminds me of my first day in VS. Only this time the friends I’ve grown close to are either in JC or in a different poly or going off to LA to study (yes, that’s you Roy). Knowing me, It’ll be at least a week before I start to open up in SP. Maybe even more.

Oh well, lets see what life throws my way, hopefully I don’t get whacked on the head by it.

Head Prefect Elections .05

Elections ended today. First up I wanna thank a few people. Farand, for being so willing to help test the system while it was under construction and also for the aesthetics and design of the header and banners. Daniel, for coming down to VS ever so often to help Farand take great pictures. Mansoor, for planning and organising the elections thus resulting in it running as smoothly as it did. And finally to the 2 deputy heads, Zul and Shu Xie as well as all the probates and prefects who helped out in the elections. A big Thank You to you all.

On to the voting itself, I must say I’m very satisfied with the system, script and overall voting (other then MOE deciding to block access to my server all of a sudden). So it is done. I think I’ll offer the service to other schools and see the response.This could potentially become Jonaizes’ flagship service. Ah, just the thought of it brings great hope.

So yeah, its done. Last two days were rather boring. but Yey! Its done, and it works. Happy.
