A fork in the road

Lets do blog news first: The comments system is up and free from bugs based on initial testing, though I have yet to perform a stress test on it. Will it buckle under increased loads ( which it will most likely never experience ) or will it stand its ground and retain data integrity? Only time will tell…

The Photo Gallery is a pain in the ass (I apologize for that expression) to code. So its hard to predict when I’ll be done. I’ll be concentrating more on my corporate site for Jonaize first, as I hope to have it settled by 11 January.

On to the post title: A fork in the road… I just received a brochure of sorts from Ngee Ann Poly and it looks promising… So once again I’m caught dead center, sitting on the fence, on which Poly I will attend. Singapore Poly? Ngee Ann Poly? or will another poly suddenly emerge and catch my eye? Haiz.. Choices, choices..

If the choice of which poly to attend was hard, deciding what course to take will be harder. I’m still undecided as to pursue a Information Technology course or the Networking and Communications course.

InfoTech: Basically about Operating Systems, Programming and Database Applications. The pro is that I can choose to specialize in and take a Networking Major which would enable me to venture into Network Security, leading to a Certified Ethical Hacker Cert.

Network & Comm: More on protocols and means of communication between systems in and out of networks. Would be much more helpful to get a Certified Ethical Hacker Cert but I’m afraid that the focus on networking will cause me to find the course rather dry.

Haiz.. Life is like a box of assorted chocolates, you can never really be sure of which one to go for first..
