Alas. We are DONE

wallproject

Finally, after 6 days and a painstaking 48+ hours in school painting the mural on the wall, WE ARE DONE! I am feeling so fulfiled that I have no idea how to explain it. Cher Li spent the morning adding finishing touches on the PE Tshirt, we painted our names on the back of the wall and then went for lunch. After lunch came the final touching up of the wall.

Before Farand left, we took a few pics. I originally wanted all of us to sit on top of the wall and take but no one else wanted to. So we ended up taking it while standing in front of the wall. I still wanted to take it with us on top of the wall, and since on one else wanted to, I took a pic while lying on the wall, sitting on the wall and even standing up with my arms outstreched. I’ll post the pic once I get it.

Standing on the wall with no support was dead scary. Add that to the fact that the wind was blowing rather strongly and that I’m not very heavy and you get the idea. The wall was only 4/5 the length of my shoe and Mansoor took a very long time to take the pic. I almost lost my balance on one occasion but thankfully I’m still alive.

Alas. It is DONE. It is COMPLETE. And I feel completed. The closure of my 4 years (officially of course, I’m still going back next year for Sec 1 Orientation Camp).

The Wall Painting Team (in no particular order): Farand, Cher Li, Gary, Yong Feng, Wai Kin, Muzzy, Firdaus.

To the team who took time off their busy schdule to come down to paint, who showed true dedication, commitment and persistance in this project. Who showed that they are true Victorians, putting up with all the difficulties and obstacles in our path, never giving up and never looking back.
You guys are the greatest batch of Student Leaders I have had the privilage to know. May the VS Spirit forever burn brightly in your hearts. I know for sure it will never be extinguished in mine.
